Aloha and Welcome! My name is Mrs. Bualuay and I am a fourth grade teacher. I began teaching here at Waiau in 1998 after graduating from The University of Hawaii at Manoa with my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with emphasis in Early Childhood Education. I later received my Master's degree in Elementary Education - Curriculum and Instruction.

Throughout my teaching career, I have taught second, third and fourth grade as well as taken on the positions as Math Curriculum Coordinator and ELL Coordinator. Having been a third and fourth grade teacher for 20 years, I truly believe that children at this age are full of inquiry, excitement, and willing to take risks and I hope to foster those qualities throughout your child's year with me. I am passionate about teaching and strongly believe in nurturing the whole child and I feel very fortunate to have been a part of Waiau Elementary's 'ohana for the past 20 years.

On a personal level, I live in Waimanalo, on the other side of the Ko'olau mountain range. Growing up on the windward side, I have been blessed with the beautiful breeze of the ocean, white sandy beaches, and green mountainsides. When I'm not in school, I enjoy camping, going to the beach and traveling with my family.
