About Me

Aloha all,

My name is Justine Jumalon.  I was born and raised here on Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi and proud to be from Waipahu.  I graduated from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa with my Bachelor's of Elementary Education.  I am proud to have been a part of the Ka Malu O Kaiona cohort in the College of Education.  This special cohort allowed me to gain formative experiences from the Waiʻanae Coast schools.

Aside from teaching, music has been an integral part of my upbringing.  I have played the alto saxophone in band for 10 years.  I started when I was in 7th grade and played all throughout high school and college.  Through music, I was able to meet many influential people and most importantly, discover my passion for teaching.

In my free time, I enjoy going to the beach, surfing, and hanging out with friends and family.  Some of my favorite beaches are Kulaʻilaʻi, Nānākuli, and Mākaha Beach on the Waiʻanae Coast and Ke Iki up North!  I would consider White Plains my home break but often frequent town breaks in Ala Moana and Waikīkī.

I am happy to be a part of the Waiau ʻohana and I look forward to working with the next generation of haumāna.  Go dolphins!
