Welcome to Waiau Elementary School.  Waiau Elementary School which opened in 1974 is nestled in a flourishing community of diversity from single-family homes to town houses with families from every ethnic group and all walks of life. The school facilities include two permanent two-story buildings, an Administration Building, a library which fully supports Waiau's rich curriculum a cafetorium which offers breakfast and lunch and 12 portable classrooms.  Waiau Elementary School strives to develop positive relationships in a safe and nurturing environment and to create a respectful and responsible community of individuals who love learning. Waiau elementary school offers a wide range of learning opportunities that includes the Hawaiian immersion program the literacy program primary school adjustment program special education A+ after school program and education in Spotify waiau Elementary School participate in the annual assessment and strive to meet adequate yearly progress as defined by the Hawaii Department of Education waiau Elementary School understands the importance of incorporating the technology to enhance Twitter therefore upgrading our technology infrastructure students have the opportunity to learn through the Visual and Performing Arts which include the whole ukulele the white owl chorus sound machine the string program robotics track team and the multimedia Club the balance curriculum offered in elementary school includes full-time physical education and music teachers who provide for the Pinterest entrance for all students waiau Elementary parent-teacher Association namama are Hollow and school Community Council are major stakeholders in the community parental support is key to the success of our students  let us remember that our greatest movie Sword is the minds of our children so let Elementary School make a difference in your child's life
