Hello and welcome! I am Mrs. Hayashi and I teach second grade at Waiau Elementary School.  I started my teaching career in 1992 as a kindergarten teacher at Waianae Elementary and then also taught first grade there. After several years, I had the wonderful opportunity to transfer to Waiau Elementary and have been happy here ever since and continue to enjoy this journey.  Every day is a new learning experience for me. 

 

In my spare time, I love spending time with my family and friends.  I have two daughters.  Both have graduated from college and have started their careers.  I also love exploring all kinds of learning opportunities in and out of school, traveling, and playing with my dog.

 

It's always a wonderful opportunity to work and learn with every student and their families. Together, we will make this another amazing school year!
