My name is Leimomi Cleghorn. I am from Mililani. I am blessed to be married to an amazing man and we have three amazing children. We do a lot with our church. My favorite thing to do is Christian hula.

I am an Educational Assistant for the Hawaiian Language Immersion Program. I started being involved at Waiau Elementary as a parent volunteer when my children started attending Waiau’s Hawaiian Language Immersion Program in 2005. In 2006, when my youngest started Kindergarten, I started working in the cafeteria and through the years worked up to becoming an Educational Assistant in 2014. I help a lot with kindergarten through second grade of the Hawaiian Language Immersion Program. My favorite thing to do with them is reading groups. I really enjoy helping the keikis learn and supporting and helping the kumus. It has been a blessing to be a part of the Waiau ʻOhana and to watch the children grow through the years.

These three ʻōlelo noʻeau are part of the foundation of my ʻohana and the Waiau ʻohana, and ones that I live by each day:

Aloha aku, aloha mai – give love, get love
Mālama kekahi i kekahi – take care of one another
Kūlia i ka nuʻu – strive for the highest
